I’ve been working across the flood risk, drainage and infrastructure sectors since graduating from Plymouth University in 2018. I’m a Senior Engineer at Aegaea Civils who genuinely enjoys the technical journey of a project - from the initial feasibility and planning stages through to detailed design and final construction. My goal is to navigate the complexities of modern engineering standards so your development is safe, compliant and ready for approval.
How I can help you
- Strategic and detailed drainage design: surface and foul water networks using attenuation storage, tank sewers and flow controls.
- Expert SuDS implementation: sustainable drainage to the highest best-practice standards, including blue-green roofs and permeable paving.
- Highway and technical approvals: the technical heavy lifting behind Section 38, 104 and 278 approvals, liaising directly with statutory authorities on your behalf.
- Complex ground modelling: 3D cut-and-fill analysis to optimise earthworks and external levels for residential and commercial sites.
Expertise in action
- Secured S104 technical approval on a 2,500-unit development (One Horton Heath): preparing the water management strategy and detailed design for strategic SuDS and complex foul pumping stations.
- Supporting renewable energy across England and Wales: Flood Risk Assessments, Environmental Statement chapters and drainage condition discharge for multiple solar farm schemes.
- Off-mains drainage that satisfies environmental permits: detailed foul designs including package treatment plants and BS6297-compliant drainage fields.
- Trusted by councils to review developers’ work: independent technical reviews ensuring drainage conditions are safely and appropriately discharged.
Questions I’m often asked
- Our site has no mains sewer - what are the options?: Off-mains solutions such as package treatment plants with drainage fields, designed to BS6297 and the environmental permitting rules. Ground conditions decide the approach, so early infiltration evidence saves time.
- What’s involved in getting a Section 104 approval?: Demonstrating to the water company that your proposed sewers meet adoptable standards — design, calculations and coordination. It’s detail-heavy, and it’s exactly the part I take off your plate.
A bit about me
Outside the office I focus on staying ahead of the curve - mentoring junior staff and delivering in-house seminars on the latest technical guidance. I hold a valid CSCS card as an Academically Qualified Person and have completed specialised CIRIA SuDS design training to keep my work at the forefront of the industry.
