Your choices
You can use the website and submit an enquiry without accepting optional measurement cookies. Choose Essential only, select individual options, or choose Accept all in the cookie panel. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice.
Your choice applies to the Aegaea website and Aegaea Digital when they run on aegaea.com and its subdomains. Advertising measurement is separate from agreeing to receive marketing emails.
Essential storage
The ae_consent_v1 cookie remembers your analytics and advertising choices for up to 180 days. Digital also uses storage needed for sign-in and to keep an enquiry draft while you complete the request process.
Optional measurement
With your permission, ae_attribution_v1 records the first and latest campaign that brought you to the website, the landing page, the referring website’s hostname and the link used to reach an enquiry. It is retained in your browser for up to 90 days. Advertising click identifiers, such as GCLID, are included only when you allow advertising measurement.
When you submit an enquiry or start an order, the permitted attribution is attached to that business record. This lets us connect marketing activity with enquiries and orders. It does not include the text you type into enquiry fields in analytics events.
With Website analytics permission, Aegaea also keeps its own record of how the website is used: the pages viewed, links and buttons used, forms started and submitted, and sign-ins, orders and enquiries, each with the time, the page, the device type and the country. Two cookies make those actions comparable across pages: ae_sid identifies one browsing session and expires after 30 minutes without activity, and ae_vid identifies the browser for up to 400 days. Neither contains personal details; a signed-in customer’s actions are linked to their account. Where a Google Ads click identifier is held under the advertising permission above, it is recorded with these actions so that advertising can be connected to the enquiries and orders it leads to. The text typed into forms is never included.
With Website analytics permission, we also use Hotjar to see anonymised heatmaps and recordings of how visitors move around our pages, so we can improve the website. Hotjar loads only after you give that permission.
Where Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement is configured, those tags load only after the relevant permission is given. We do not enable advertising personalisation through this measurement setup. Your browser settings or content blockers may also prevent measurement.
Changing your choice
Choosing Essential only removes Aegaea’s optional attribution, session and visitor cookies and stops this setup from sending further analytics events. Changing your browser preference does not remove information already attached to an enquiry or order. Contact admin@aegaea.com about your information and see our privacy policy.
