We also recognise the importance of wellbeing. With a trained mental health first aider in the team, support is always close at hand.

Our work

Our project portfolio is varied: from private sector developments to major UK infrastructure schemes and international opportunities. We work across the UK and beyond, with established teams in both England and Scotland, giving us the reach and expertise to support projects wherever they are based.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and our clients notice. That’s why we’re proud of our 4.9 rating on reviews.io and the frequent positive feedback from clients.

Our tech

We invest in technology that helps you succeed. From the latest modelling software to AI-powered tools, we make sure our consultants have what they need to excel.

Even better, our in-house software is changing the way flood risk consultancy works. It offers instant flood insights, clear summaries of relevant policy, and access to data from previous projects—all at your fingertips.

Grow with us

Your development matters to us. Whether you want to gain new skills, work towards CIWEM chartership, or expand your expertise by learning from industry leaders, we’ll support you every step of the way.

Career Progression

Many of our team have joined as graduates and grown into senior consultant roles. Whether you’re aiming for chartership, project management responsibilities, or leadership opportunities, we’ll give you the guidance and opportunities to get there.

Flexibility at the core

Life doesn’t always fit a rigid schedule, so we’ve embraced flexible working.

  • Work 100% remotely, with the option of a co-working space near you
  • Choose how, when, and where you work (as long as client needs are met)
  • Take at least 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (full-time positions)—with an unlimited leave trial currently underway
  • Access enhanced parental leave packages: up to six months’ full pay for maternity, paternity, adoption, and parental leave

“I have now been working at Aegaea for one year and it has been an amazing experience. Aegaea’s flexibility and fully remote working hours has allowed me to maintain a healthy work-life balance and achieve ‘work-related’ goals as well as ‘outside of work’ goals! I have now had the opportunity to work on a large number of diverse projects, which has not only broadened my skill set but also further increased my passion for learning.

The team at Aegaea are incredibly supportive and are always willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge/experiences to overcome challenges that you might face in day-to-day work. Despite being fully remote, the helpful and friendly nature of the team creates a strong sense of community, as if we have known each other for years!”

– Mace Latham, Graduate Flood Risk Consultant

“I’ve been working for Aegaea for almost a year and a half now. The number one thing that really impressed me with the team is the level of professionalism in this company and the positive and problem-solving attitude of everyone who works here towards the projects we do and towards the clients. The flexible and remote work option is another huge benefit for me, as the time I would commute I now spend with my family.”

– Desi Ksiazek, Graduate Consultant

Aegaea socials

We believe it’s important to connect outside of day-to-day projects too. Our team socials—whether virtual or in-person—give us the chance to catch up informally and strengthen the bonds that make Aegaea such a collaborative and enjoyable place to work.

More from our team

“I’ve been asked a few times recently by potential employees during interviews, what is my favourite thing about working at Aegaea? The first thing that has always sprung to mind is the variety of projects – without sounding cliché, no two days are the same. We could work on a minor extension one day, and an NSIP project the next. Keeps me on my toes. But recently, I think my first answer has changed to the people. The people at Aegaea are amazing, and we wouldn’t be the company we are without every single one. The team are close-knit and all pull in the same direction, and will always go out of their way to help each other. It’s really great to see that the company culture is thriving. And of course, being fully remote with flexible working is an added bonus.”

– Nick Darling-Drewett, Flood Risk Lead
