Desi Ksiazek

I’m Desi and joined Aegaea as a graduate consultant in April 2024. I have been helping with flood risk assessments and modelling for sites across Scotland. I have a background in GIS, which I have previously used for projects requiring site suitability analysis, and for generating workflows for statistical reports and trends from spatial data.

I’m a graduate member of CIWEM, an associate member of the Institute for Water, and a member of the Association for Geographic Information (AGI). I have a keen interest in natural flood management and SUDS, particularly their potential in managing the impacts of high-intensity rainfalls in a changing climate, which is the reason why I decided to pursue a career in the water sector.

Outside of work I spend a lot of time outdoors with my family (always on the lookout for new spots to explore!) or working in the garden while listening to a good podcast.
