Independent certification is now a requirement in the following council regions.
This means that an independent third party must check and review your flood risk assessment as part of the application process.

Who Can Undertake Independent Certification on Flood Risk and Drainage?
The Independent Check Certification process must be completed by a competent professional who is a member of a relevant chartered professional institution (ICE / CIWEM), or equivalent, with experience in flood risk and drainage impact assessment and management.
